Susan Chalmers-Gauvin, Co-Founder and CEO of Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada, has led the company’s strategic, financial, and organizational development since its establishment taking the company from a start -up to an international touring company. Prior to starting the ballet with co-Founder and Artistic Director Igor Dobrovolskiy she spent eight years working in First Nations communities on health and social development initiatives. A passionate advocate for artistic excellence, inclusivity, and community transformation, she has established Atlantic Ballet as an internationally recognized cultural institution while supporting the immigration and settlement of professional artists in New Brunswick. A frequent speaker on arts leadership and cultural development, her distinctions include the Order of New Brunswick, the Governor General’s Meritorious Service Decoration, and an honorary doctorate from the University of New Brunswick.
