Joshua Pether is a Kalkadoon experimental performance artist, dancer and choreographer whose practice is shaped by Indigeneity and Disability. His work has been presented nationally and internationally, including solo works Monster and Jupiter Orbiting. His collaborative project The Reckoning addresses Australia’s colonial history and its effects on Indigenous bodies and places.
Joshua became CEO of Arts Access Victoria in 2024. A foundation artist of Alter State, he advocates for systemic change and self-determined artistic practice. His leadership connects First Nations culture and disability, drawing on lived experience, performance and advocacy to challenge barriers to participation and leadership in the arts.
