The BlakDance Summit 2015 focused on a review of the sector goals from the Creating Pathways forum held in 2005 and to evaluate the progress of the sector over 10 years.
In addition, the BlakDance Summit looked collectively to develop an agenda and process to deliver the National Indigenous Dance Forum in 2016.
The BlakDance Summit was held at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Brisbane on the 7 December 2015. It was open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance practitioners.
This was a unique opportunity for the Indigenous dance sector to come together, to be heard, and to look to the future!
