Consent to capture images, video and audio recording
The Practice. Process. Protocol. A First Nations-led Symposium-in-Action will be photographed and videographed for the purposes of capturing a record of the conversation. By attending the event, you acknowledge that you have received and understood this policy and give your consent to BlakDance and/or NAISDA (collectively, “the Event Organiser”) to capture your participation in the event.
This consent includes consent for:
your personal information to be used by the Event Organiser in publications, products, video productions, audio productions and public relations activities for the purpose set out below.
Event Organiser staff and contracted suppliers of photographic, audio, film and video services to use descriptive information about me to identify me in photographs, audio recordings, video recordings and other materials for the purpose set out above.
Event Organiser staff and contracted suppliers to use my name, where I am from and organisation name (if applicable) in the activities for the purpose set out above.
What personal information will be collected?
Recordings and personal information collected of the event may include:
your image, and/or
a digital recording, audio recording or video recording of you, and/or
information to describe your image, such as your name, description of your role in the activity captured (eg: Artist or speaker) and/or your nation/language group.
How will your personal information be used?
The Event Organiser may use your personal information in any of the following:
documentary / video summary or trailer of the event
digital/social media
internet pages
printed publications such as reports, summaries or fact sheets
How will your personal information be protected?
We take our privacy obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles seriously. We will collect, use, record, disclose and store your personal information in accordance with our privacy obligations and applicable law.
We will contact you for approval for use of this information in accordance with our cultural protocols.

Opt-out/withdrawal of consent
At any time you may withdraw your consent for your personal information to be collected or stored.
